Located at Praia do Tamariz in Estoril; this fortress goes back to the XVII Century and the reign of Filipe III of Portugal and IV of Spain. It was part of a fortified defense line that went from Abano beach (Guincho) until Caxias. Its main mission was to prevent an invasion to take over the capital, Lisboa.

It was bought to the Portuguese State in 1894 by the great-grandfather of the current owners, following the trend of the Court to spend the summer season in Cascais. Glamorously located in the heart of Estoril and with overwhelming views of the Atlantic Ocean, Forte da Cruz is a truly enchanting venue.

Ideal for all type of events, this enchanting venue can cater up to 80 seating guests indoors and 250 at the magnificent tent / terrace facing the beach, in a total of 650pax on a standing event.
