Description
With contemporary Portuguese cuisine influenced by travel and the dishes that Avillez ate in his childhood in Cascais. All the classics are there but there is also news.
The restaurant has two floors and a small patio. The skylight, which already existed, was increased, creating a space with lots of natural light and wooden tables. There are arches dividing the space and creating more welcoming areas and, on one of the blue walls to evoke the sea, there is a macrame tapestry of about four meters, by Vasco Águas, the Barbudo Aborrecido.
“Cascais is a unique place, with its narrow streets, mansions, proximity to the sea. I was born and raised in Cascais; for me, being in Cascais with Cantinho, my first restaurant, has a special meaning ”, says José Avillez.
